Capt. B.G. Parker fonds. [1943].

The fonds consists of a carbon typescript transcription of part of Parker's personal diary. It was possibly done by Parker himself. It covers the last part of his training in England and his involvement in the Sicilian/Italian campaign until he was wounded in action.

Captain Parker served with the Seaforth Highlanders from 1941-1943. He was involved in the Sicilian and Italian campaign in 1943 until he was injured on December 10, 1943. In 1958, the Seaforth Highlanders were given the task of organizing the militia in British Columbia. Initially Captain Parker was "called out" to head the training team.
